Beef Steak with Fried Potatoes & Mixed Salad

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 1 beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Fried Potatoes:

  • 2 medium potatoes (cut into wedges or slices)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and paprika to taste

For the Mixed Salad:

  • 1 cup lettuce (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1/4 cup cucumber (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Steak:

    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the steak with salt and black pepper.
    • Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
    • Add butter, garlic, and rosemary. Spoon the butter over the steak for extra flavor.
    • Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  2. Fry the Potatoes:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
    • Add potato slices and cook until golden and crispy.
    • Season with salt and paprika.
  3. Prepare the Salad:

    • Toss lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion in a bowl.
    • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve:

    • Arrange the sliced steak on a plate with fried potatoes and salad.
    • Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
