Grilled Pork Ribs with Onion Bread, Fried Potatoes, and Salad

Ingredients:

For the Grilled Pork Ribs:
  • 1 kg pork ribs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
For the Onion Bread:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (7g) dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter (for brushing)
For the Fried Potatoes:
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
For the Fresh Salad:
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Grilled Pork Ribs:

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Rub the marinade all over the pork ribs and let them marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to 180°C (350°F).
  4. Grill the ribs for about 30-40 minutes, flipping occasionally and brushing with extra BBQ sauce.
  5. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

2. Make the Onion Bread:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and chopped onion. Knead until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Shape into a loaf and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Brush with melted butter while still warm.

3. Cook the Fried Potatoes:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced potatoes and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and paprika.

4. Prepare the Fresh Salad:

  1. In a bowl, combine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  3. Toss and season with salt and pepper.

5. Serve and Enjoy!
